Privacy notice

Palmetto Prep is a personal study application operated by Robert Mitchell. This notice explains how information is used when you sign in and study.

Information we use

Google sign-in provides basic account information, including your name, email address, profile information, and an account identifier. Neon Auth manages authentication and sessions. We do not receive your Google password or request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, or contacts.

We save your XP, review ratings and schedules, quiz results, study activity dates, video viewing ranges, guided lesson card practice and completion records, and any previously saved custom study sets to your account in a Neon database. This allows your progress to sync across devices. New study sets are managed by the application maintainer; learners cannot create or import them.

Cookies and browser storage

Authentication uses cookies to maintain your session. Your browser also stores account-specific recovery copies of study data and pending changes, and may retain progress from an earlier local-only version. These copies help recover interrupted saves. Signing out does not necessarily remove recovery copies from browser storage. On a shared device, sign out and clear this site's browser data when finished; export any unsaved work first.

Video lessons

Opening a video lesson loads an embedded YouTube player and connects your browser to Google. Playback starts when you press the player’s Play button. We record watched playback segments to track lesson completion. Unsynced segments may be kept in this browser for recovery. YouTube may process technical and usage information under Google’s privacy practices. Simply loading the player does not count as watched progress.

Service providers

Google provides sign-in, Neon provides authentication and database storage, and Vercel hosts the application. These services process information needed to operate the application and may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and diagnostic logs. Their own privacy notices also apply to their services.

Your choices and requests

You can export your study progress and previously saved custom sets from the progress screen. This study backup excludes video and guided lesson records, which are stored separately in your account. There is currently no self-service account deletion control. To ask about access, correction, or deletion of your account data, contact robertmitchell.biz@gmail.com. Account data remains stored unless removed; we do not promise a fixed retention or deletion schedule. Provider backups and diagnostic records may have separate retention practices.
